Last December, our class went to an English place called English Country Kitchen. We went by tram to “Les Quinconces” and then we walked.
As it was a beautiful day, we enjoyed the walk very much. When we arrived, some of us took pictures outside and then inside.
The place was cosy and warm, and filled with Christmas decorations, we loved it.
Then we saw the food … It looked gorgeous!
We were hoping it was as good as it looked. And it was!
The lady who was serving us was very nice, helpful, generous – “and pretty!” Moncef said.
We had scones cut in two with clotted cream and strawberry and blackcurrant jam. All this was served with the best tea ever. First we drank Darjeeling and then the lady served us scones again with Earl grey.
Most of us liked Darjeeling and some of us – only five actually, preferred Earl Grey. We drank a lot of tea with so much sugar that we got really excited! Our teacher did not look too happy about that… Because most of us were very loud in the street and on the tram with Alex our American assistant. We love him and his accent…
We thank our headmaster, Mr Margueritat for allowing us to go and making it possible and our teacher, Mrs Roland for taking us.
The outing was very pleasant and we learnt a lot… And we ate a lot!
